Agra’s son made special PPE kit, which fit on sari too

The corona virus transition changed a lot. Masks and sanitizers are now essential for health, so PPE kits are an important weapon for health workers. The process of wearing a PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) Kit is as important as it is necessary. It is not possible to wear it on the sari which is available in the market. Men cannot go to the archetype after wearing it. In this difficult period, Anupam Goyal of Tanjagri has prepared a special PPE kit, named Kovid Nari Kavach. This special kit has been praised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Twitter.

Kovid Nari Kavach is being prepared in Surat but it has a very special relationship with Agra. The fashion design development center in Surat, where Kovid Nari Kavach was prepared, belongs to Anupam Goyal, a native of Agra. Anupam’s ancestral residence is at Keshav Kunj, Pratap Nagar. Father Ashok Goel is the former chairman of the Sri Kshetra Bajaja Committee along with the founders of institutions like Help Agra and Satyamev Jayate. Anupam did his schooling at Holy Public School. BTech from Kamala Nehru Institute of Technology, Sultanpur. After doing his MBA from IMT Institute in Dubai, he started his own Institute of Design and Technology in Surat in 2009. Last year, Anupam started Design Development Center (Fashionova) under Start Up India to give a chance to new talent. This special PPE kit has been prepared under this center.

How Kovid Women’s Armor got ready

In a phone conversation with Jagran, Anupam said that the Corona transition period has changed people’s thinking and also given new dimensions. Health workers are required to wear PPE kits to deal with the epidemic, but the way they are designed has to face the problems of wearing a sari over and over. During the lockdown, when the Kerala government instructed its nursing staff not to wear a saree, it felt that it has become a big challenge for our culture. The designer of the center, Saurabh Mandal, designed a special PPE kit. Its sample was sent to the central government on 12 May. It was recognized by SITRA (South India Textile Research Association) on 25 May. On May 30, Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised it in his tweet.
